A Happy Ending

We were putting our wheelie-bin out on a Monday night when we found a cat lying by our car in the drive. She could not see and was very immobile and our initial thoughts were that it had been dumped. It was quite cold and damp outside.

If the cat had wandered, it could not have come far so we brought it inside in a large carrier, and although it was late, asked at various houses if they knew the cat. After four houses the person said he thought it was his neighbour’s cat so I knocked there.  The family were unaware the cat had got out and thought it was safe in the back garden.  They came to collect the cat straight away.

The next morning the family all arrived with a card made by the two young daughters to say “Thank You”. The cat is 18 years old and has only recently lost its sight. They have made sure it cannot escape again.

All in all, a really happy ending.
